I'd like to order some soft leather baby shoes for my daughter who is 13 months. Her foot length is 11cm, but I'm not sure whether to get her a medium or large size. I'm concerned she will grow out of the mediums before the end of winter, but also that the large size will keep coming off. Does the size around the ankle vary greatly? What size would you suggest? Thank you.

The ankle part does vary from medium to large and may fit loose in a large size. Our size selection guide suggest a medium for your daughter if you go by measurement. You may get the most part of winter from a medium pair.

I recently bought a pair of your baby shoes, can I wash them?

Answer
If the baby shoes are only a little dirty we would first recommend wiping the shoe with a damp cloth to remove scuff marks. However, if the shoes are really dirty you can hand wash them carefully in cold water. Use a mild detergent if water alone is not working. After washing reshape the shoe and allow it to dry out of direct sunlight. It may be a little stiff initially, however the leather will soften with wearing. We do not recommend regular washing because this removes the natural oils and makes the leather harder.
